Join in on the fight for GIA Kindseth Herman to give her HOPE, LOVE, and STRENGTH to fight.  Last week tests/scans found that her CANCER has returned in her mouth under her tongue in a new spot.  She was told that she needs a second surgery on May 9th.  Her second opinion from the Mayo clinic confirmed that it will be more in depth this time, at least 6-8 hours, as they may have to take a section of her jaw out then reconstructive procedures as well.  In order to reconstruct her jaw a piece of her leg bone will be used.  No walking for two weeks!  This will be a longer surgery than the one she had in January where they removed part of her tounge and 42 lymph nodes from her neck.  She was told by her doctors that they believed they got it all.  This surgery will have a longer recovery than before.  Gia will need to have a feeding tube for 2 weeks and a tracheotomy along with radiation for 6 weeks and possibly chemo...while eating out of of tube while she heals.  This was a Complete SHOCK to her and her spirit.  She feels God is testing her will, so please keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming in, and any donation will help.  Join her in praying to keep her faith.  Her support system of family and friends is tremendous but they need your help with all the medical costs.  This will hopefully help her concentrate mainly on healing after surgery.  An update will be posted on this page after her surgery.  Watch for information regarding a benefit for Gia after she has had time to recover.  Thank you so much for Joining Gia and her family with your help of donations and prayers through this difficult situation!!!!
