Join Erin's Battle for Recovery

Update -- It is with heavy hearts that we share that Erin has gone home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday January 12. She is now free from all pain and is completely healed. We thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. Our family appreciates you all more than you know. Any donations will go towards the continued support of Andy, Emma, and Jack in this incredibly difficult time. My name is Bryce Gilbertson, I am Erin's little sister. I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes to support Erin and her family during her time of recovery and healing.

On the morning of December 30th, Erin was on her way to work when she drove up on a car accident due to severe fog and ice in Dodge County, MN. She stopped her car to get out and help the people who had been involved in the car crash. Soon after stopping to offer help, a truck pulling a trailer struck Erin. She was transported with severe life-threatening injuries to Mayo Clinic in Rochester where she has since been undergoing many surgeries in an intense effort to save her life.

She has undergone surgeries to attempt to save her leg, repair her arm, repair many exterior wounds, repair her collapsed lungs, and many more. They are currently attempting to restore function of her kidneys as well as repair her pelvis as it is currently only being supported and is shattered. She is still in critical condition and will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future. She has opened her eyes and has given one of the nurses a thumbs up which was very encouraging, but has a long road to recovery ahead of her. It is an absolute miracle that she is alive today and we are incredibly thankful for every good day she has during her recovery.

The funds raised will assist greatly with medical bills and in supporting Erin's family - Andy, Emma, and Jack - in this difficult time.
