Martensdale-St Mary’s Class of 1994 alum, Eric Goodale, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Eric resides in Beach, Iowa, just outside of Pleasantville, with his wife, Brenda, and their three children, Elizabeth, Will, and Grace. Eric’s father was a long-time, influential teacher in the district.

Eric’s career has been one of service to others, first in his work for 21 years at the Youth Homes of Mid-America, working with at risk teens. In 2019 he began work at The Well Knoxville, a community resource center ministering to those in need, whether it be a momentary emergency, dealing with a difficult loss, or facing dependency or poverty. Its mission is to get folks unstuck and empower them to move forward in life.
