My name is Emma and my sweet, sweet dog Roscoe needs some help. At a regular vet checkup on 6/11/24, my veterinarian found that Roscoe is having kidney failure. His kidney function has rapidly declined progressively, likely starting before I adopted him. Roscoe’s behavior has been completely normal other than excessive thirst, which he has had since adoption. My veterinarian is trying to determine the cause, believing it may be cancer or a bacterial infection. Roscoe needs treatment right away, including intensive IV fluid intake at the emergency vet. This will total at least $5,000, having already cost $700 for testing. I’m willing to spend as much as I possibly can to get my boy the treatment he needs. He is so wonderful and so young; I truly hope there will be a way to get him back to good health. Of course, funds are tight which is why I’m asking for your help. Anything will help honestly. It’s hard to ask for this but I’m desperate. This news was completely shocking. He’s been his normal self and I was certainly not anticipating this terrible news.
I adopted this precious boy from Asheville Humane not long ago and immediately fell in love with him. He is 6 years old, loves to cuddle, and enjoys chasing cats. He’s so gentle and mild mannered- he loves everyone. He’s just precious. I hope to have him around for as long as possible. He had a difficult life before being at the shelter and then adopted. It’s believed that his previous owners left him outside, leaving his skin burned from the sun. He was certainly neglected for a while. Roscoe has been happy and anxiety free since coming home, and loves doing anything and everything with my husband and I.
If you’re able to help, I would truly appreciate it with every fiber of my being. I know money is tight for everyone so don’t feel pressured in any way. Just reaching out for help
