Hi, I'm Emil.
Once a year, I collect money for Ghanian women, who have been victims of witch hunt a accusations.
Accused of witchcraft and driven out of their villages, the women seek asylum in the "witch camps" in Northern Ghana. The camps are often driven by a church or local NGO receiving funding from Europe.
I have visited 4 of the 6 camps in Northern Ghana and meet the around 300 women living there.
They live in absolute poverty, having no security from neither state nor family. They get by with the help of local NGO's and by whatever leftovers the women can pick up in the dirt in the local marketplace.
This year I am collaborating with the NGO Outcast Support Project (OSP): The NGO is driven by Banabas Dalabra, who has been my friend since we meet back in 2016. We are trying to raise money to buy sleeping mats. As it shows from the cover photo, they sleep directly on a concrete floor. So, we want to buy as many of these mats as possible.
Please donate whatever you can spare, and I'll make sure it makes its way into the camps. Below you see the mats in question and two of the women already in possession of one.
