Join Us in Supporting Elli's Fight Against Leukemia
For the past couple of months, Elli has been experiencing persistent pain in her right leg. After an MRI, it was initially believed to be sciatica, but that diagnosis was ruled out by a neurologist. Unfortunately, the pain eventually spread to her other limbs, becoming unbearable. Despite her struggles, Elli remained resilient, and two weeks ago, she began working with a compassionate doctor at the Tanner Clinic who was determined to find answers.
On Thursday, October 17, 2024, after weeks of uncertainty, the doctor revealed that the test results were inconclusive for cancer and suggested that Elli go to the emergency room for further evaluation. A few hours after arriving at the ER, Elli's worst fears were confirmed—she was diagnosed with leukemia. She was immediately transferred by ambulance to LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City for further treatment and care.
On Friday, October 18, 2024, Elli underwent a bone marrow biopsy to determine the exact subtype of her cancer. Once the results are in, her medical team will consult on the most effective treatment plan. Elli is expected to remain in the hospital for the next 30 to 60 days as she begins her fight.
Despite everything she’s facing, Elli is trying to stay positive, and she is physically maintaining her strength as best as she can. Your support means the world to her and her family during this challenging time.
Leukemia treatments can be long, exhausting, and expensive. As Elli's family focuses on her health and well-being, we want to ease some of the financial burden that comes with medical bills, travel to treatment centers, and other unforeseen expenses.
This fundraiser is a way for us all to come together as a community and show our love and support. Whether you can donate, share this message, or offer encouragement, every bit helps in giving Elli and her family strength during this difficult time.
