Join Elijah's Journey Towards a Brighter Tomorrow

After months and months of questions with no answers, the Ayer family, a young family of four precious boys from the Champlain Islands, were presented with news no family should ever have to endure. Their sweet, little, fiery seven-year-old son Elijah Lashley has a large mass causing pressure on his brain stem, trapping cerebral spinal fluid in his brain. This mass has caused Eli to feel great amounts of pain and discomfort for months prior to discovery. On Saturday night, Eli was flown via jet to the Boston Children's Hospital, where he is being cared for in the ICU.
Sweet Elijah had been living a normal life until he began vomiting one evening. He was treated for a virus, but nothing seemed to be getting any better. The nausea turned into headaches and dizziness that were mistaken for an impairment in his vision. When nothing seemed to be progressing in the right way, and Elijah wasn't getting any better, his mom requested blood work, and he was put on other medications that still hadn't helped him. After this long battle, Eli was sent to the emergency room for a CT scan, where the mass was discovered in his brain.
Although there are so many unknowns at the moment, we know that Elijah and his family will have a long journey ahead of them. His Mom and Dad will be separated during this difficult time as they work to maintain their jobs and take care of all that lies ahead. As a family, fear and sorrow fill our hearts for our sweet Elijah. The journey ahead is daunting both medically and financially, as there are so many expenses that come with this horrific discovery.
We are humbly reaching out to compassionate individuals like you to come together to help support Elijah and his family during this difficult time. We want to be certain that none of these day-to-day obligations and financial burdens will prevent Eli from getting the best medical care possible, nor the absolute love and support his family will be there to surround him with. Your donation, regardless of size, will significantly impact Elijah's journey. We extend our deepest gratitude for your kindness and support, knowing that with your help, Elijah can embrace the joys of childhood and look forward to a brighter tomorrow. As Eli's journey progresses, we will update you all. Please hold your loved ones tight and pray for our sweet boy, as his fight is just beginning.
