Hello & thank you for checking this page out!

Recently, my friend & coworker Eduardo confided with me about concerns over a pending trial for his family. Eduardo & his wife Britt have allowed me the privilege of sharing their story:

"Perhaps the hardest thing about being a parent is seeing your child is in pain or suffering. Unfortunately we are experiencing just this with our 2 year old son, Neiko.

Neiko was born healthy and has grown into a bright, talkative, inquisitive, independent person. But just before his second birthday, we began to notice him experiencing head pains. He would have these pains when coughing, running around too much, over exerting himself, and just being a regular kid. He stops what he's doing, holds his head, wincing in pain, and asks to be held.

We knew instantaneously that Neiko needed an MRI of his brain to confirm what deep down we already knew and feared. Neiko is suffering from a brain condition called Chiari Malformation. This is a condition when the skull is either misshapen or too small, causing the brain tissue to extend down into the spinal canal. This can put pressure on the brain stem, can sometimes restrict the flow of spinal fluid to the brain, and cause a wide array of symptoms. Often times people who have this condition go thru life with no symptoms at all. Unfortunately for Neiko's sake, this wasn't the case.

Neiko's brain is herniated 22 mm below the skull opening. This means the tonsils of his brain hang 22 mm into his neck area and is causing neiko to experience extreme pressure in his head when laughing, coughing, being active, and sometimes even bending down. In order to alleviate this pain and give him a better quality of life, Neiko has to go thru a decompression surgery. This is when the surgeons remove the base of the skull, the first vertebrae of the neck, and shave down the second vertebrae to make more room for the brain and take the pressure off of his head. "

Due to the state of Neiko's condition, Eduardo & Britt have courageously sought to get Neiko treatment this month (December 2024) in hopes of giving him the best prognosis & quality of life. This is no small feat & comes at an overwhelming financial burden.

The stress & anxiety of anticipating a loved one's surgery is more than enough for anyone to handle.

My request is that you consider a judicious financial gesture & share this effort. Let's help them during this trial & allow them to focus on the most important aspects instead of the financial challenges.

Thank you for your time, prayers, & consideration in this matter. Witnessing such support is heart warming & a blessing to everyone involved!
