Hi, my name is Duly and I’m a healthy, active middle-aged woman who, for years, thrived in both my personal and professional life. As a dedicated Spirit Airlines manager, I was always on my feet, engaging with people, and giving my best to the job I loved. Fitness, health, and staying active were not just part of my routine—they were my lifestyle.

However, my life took an unexpected turn when I suddenly experienced a medical emergency that changed everything. After seeking medical attention, I was diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), a rare and serious autoimmune disorder that affects the spinal cord and optic nerves. The diagnosis has left me facing a challenging and lengthy recovery process, and every day feels like a battle to regain the life I once knew.

NMO has significantly impacted my ability to function independently, and the journey to recovery will involve extensive medical treatments, rehabilitation, and time. Unfortunately, this diagnosis and its aftermath were completely unexpected, and the financial burden of medical bills, ongoing care, and rehab is overwhelming for me and my family. As I focus on my recovery, the expenses for medical procedures, hospital stays, therapy sessions, and daily living costs have become more than I can manage on my own.
