Join Donna's Effort to Save Tallulah

Hi, This is a gofundme to help a dear friend of mine who is trying to save her fur baby Tallulah (we like to call her Sweet T). T is 12 years old and is the sweetest mini Australian shepherd you will ever meet. Last July, T was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal stromal tumors. The vet has been monitoring her since then and there have many ultrasounds and scans to monitor the tumors growth. Up until a few months ago the tumor had not spread. So when the last scan showed that there was an increase in tumors her owner decided to go ahead and start chemo.

Let's talk about her owner Donna Gray. Donna Gray is the most selfless, giving person I have ever met. I met Donna through an old website called "Myspace" 17 years or more ago. We became good friends and I call her my older twin sister (due to the fact that we have birthdays 5 days apart). I was immediately struck by her generous, kind heart.

From the time I have known her Donna has always been involved with helping others. From her time building fences to help unchain dogs, to driving around Durham to bring hay, toys, and dog food to families to walking dogs at the animal shelter, helping build shelters for various animal refuges, and the list could go on. Recently she has volunteered her time at Welcome Baby and has helped pick up donations, sorted donations and helped us get ready for our Friday program called the "Giving Closet". Donna is always there and willing to give a hand wherever it is needed. Rare is the time when she is not there when someone calls.

I am setting up this GoFundMe for people to help Donna care for Tallulah. The costs for Tallulah's chemo are over $400 a month and that is just for the chemo pills T gets 3 times a week. That $400 does NOT include all the scans Tallulah has to get or the lab work that has to be done.

Donna has not asked for any help even though if you went to her FB page you would see all the multiple agencies and organizations Donna has supported over the years, financially and with sweat equity. My hope is that we can get her a little help to cover some of these costs. The funds raised with this GoFundMe will be used to help Donna with the costs of this cancer treatment for Tallulah.
