Hi, my name is Teresa and I am setting up this GoFundMe for my dear friends Destry and Virginia Grimm. Destry is known for his selflessness and always being the first to lend a hand, is now facing a tough battle of his own. He’s been diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer that requires a life-saving stem cell transplant.

While we’ve already held a benefit, I am starting this GoFundMe to help with the growing medical costs due to the delays of insurance. Destry’s treatment requires a large down payment out of pocket before he can have his stem cell transplant. Destry and his wife, Virginia, are already down to one income. Their financial situation has become more challenging while they wait for insurance. This GoFundMe account is being set up so that he can focus on fighting this battle and not have to worry about the financial burden this has caused.
