Denis Paul is a Bulawayo fixture.  Born and bred in Bulawayo, he has become known for his business efforts and work with Rotary.  After a few days of not feeling well, he was sent by his doctor for an MRI.  The MRI revealed that Denis had a growth on his brain.  The biopsy revealed the worst case scenario, that Denis has an incurable brian tumor.  The tumor is known as a Glioblastoma Multiforme.  Denis has had one surgery to get the biopsy, and is scheduled for another one this week.  The neurosurgeon will remove as much as the tumor as possible.  This will be followed by a minimum of six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy.  Chemotherapy will continue afterward.  During this time Denis and his wife, Sandy, will be away from home, being treated in South Africa.  Local medical aid will only cover so much.  We hope to raise funds to offset the tremendous costs that can accumulate from such treatments.
