TREVOR DELANO SHEPHERD-URGENT MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Urgent Appeal: Help Bring Delano Home for Life-Saving Rehabilitation
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
We come to you today with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help. Our beloved Trevor Delano Shepherd, known affectionately as De, Trev, Bubbles, or Doots, is facing one of the greatest challenges of his life. What was meant to be a time of joy and relaxation in Barbados has taken a devastating turn—one that we cannot face alone.
While vacationing, Delano suffered a tragic fall that resulted in a fractured neck and a spinal cord injury. He is currently hospitalized at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Barbados, fighting to regain mobility in his arms and legs. Though corrective surgery was performed on February 3, 2025, his journey to recovery has just begun. His doctors have stressed that his best chance of regaining independence and quality of life depends on immediate, aggressive rehabilitation—treatment that is only available in Connecticut.
We urgently need to transport Delano home via air ambulance, where he can receive the specialized therapy that gives him the greatest hope for recovery. The cost of this life-saving transport is $80,000 USD, a sum that is beyond what our family can manage alone.
We Need You—Every Dollar Counts
Delano has touched countless lives with his kindness, laughter, and generosity. Now, he needs us. This is our chance to rally around him, to show him that his community, his friends, and his loved ones will not let him fight this battle alone.
We urgently ask for your donations, no matter the amount. Every single dollar brings us closer to getting him home.
• $20, $50, or $100 can help move him one step closer to specialized care.
• A generous gift of $500 or more can significantly ease the burden of transportation costs.
If you’ve ever been touched by Delano’s warmth, friendship, or generosity—now is the time to return that love. Let’s be the village that lifts him up in his time of need.
Time is Critical—Please Donate Today
Delano’s recovery depends on urgent action. Every moment he remains in Barbados without rehabilitation reduces his chances of regaining full mobility. We must get him back to Connecticut as soon as possible.
On behalf of Delano, his daughter Danielle, his mother Kathleen, his siblings, and all who love him, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity, prayers, and kindness mean everything in this moment.
May God bless you abundantly for the love and support you show.
Please donate and share this appeal widely. Let’s bring Delano home!
