Join Dean's Fight Against Brain and Lung Cancer

Hi, my name is Emma Ferguson and I’m searching for help for my family. Back in October of 2023, my dad, Dean Ferguson, started struggling a lot with his day-to-day life and began getting very confused. At first, we were unsure of the problem and thought it was some trouble with his blood pressure, but soon we realized that was not the case. Doctors found 4 brain tumors that we hoped wouldn't be anything serious and could be cured - at least I had hope they could be.

In November, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer that started from melanoma. He was in and out of the hospital for months and began radiation and amino therapy. At first, the radiation began to work, but more tumors kept popping up, pushing on his brain, making him confused and unable to perform daily tasks he once was able to do. He was a healthy guy and loved going to the gym every day and keeping his body moving. But most importantly, he was the most funny, caring, giving, and kindest man I’ve ever known and still is keeping us going with his goofy personality and jokes. The cancer eventually spread to his liver and bones which are trying to be treated.

He was the only one who worked in our family and is now unable to do so. We’ve been struggling around the house and in taking care of him at home. I will never give up hope that my dad can be cancer-free and return back to his normal life he loved and valued. My wish is to be able to send him to top-rated cancer facilities where he can get more help but we cannot afford it. I was reluctant to turn to GoFundMe because I hate asking for help, but I feel like it is time. If you could donate, anything would help us during this time.
