Thank you for stopping by our page, this GFM started to help my Mom find housing as they would not put her on the transplant list without it and her landlord suddenly was selling the house she rented. She is still waiting on Soc Sec and needing help with moving costs. through some very generous donations she was able to find housing and pay ahead a few months. 3 days after she moved in she ended up admitted In The hospital and never left. That was 48 days ago. After a month of testing she was finally put on the national transplant list and has almost used up all the rent she paid without ever living there. A few weeks into her stay her daughter showed up after testing confirmed she also carried the same genetic condition that caused all my Moms heart damage. FH to be exact. Familial Hypercholesterolemia a deadly silent condition that causing massive heart damage that goes undiagnosed till it’s too late. Her 19 yr old daughter was needing a triple bypass to save her life. They are both still at UW, my sister recovering and my Mom still waiting on a heart. Me and my siblings still need testing as the Drs said one or more of us will also carry this gene mutation. Our whole family is struggling to keep up with the constant drives back and forth of 2 hrs or more each way and losing so much work and out of pocket costs.
