Join David Walsh's Fight Against Cancer. Heart issues

January 2024 our lives were changed forever. My husband David Walsh was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He began chemotherapy and after a while radiation was added to the treatment. On June 20, 2024 he received his last treatments. From there he has declined in the way he was feeling. Complaints of not being able to breathe. On Monday June 24th he was taken to ED where after menu test it was determined he was in Afib and has blood clots on his lungs. Along with the let his o2 was down in the low 80’s. He was admitted to the hospital.

He is on blood thinners to help with the clots and will be having a heart catheterization today 6/27/24 to determine if he has a blockage. The cardiologist told us he was in heart failure. Please keep David and our family in your prayers.

When he is strong enough he will have esophageal surgery to remove the cancer

I have been on Personal LOA to get David through treatments. I was to return to work July 5th. We have been paying our insurance each month but after June it will be through Cobra and cost us out of pocket over 1900.00 per month. My prayer is healing for my husband so I can return to work and he can be cancer free and have a strong heart.
