Dear Friends,

I pray you are all well. As many of you know, I have walked through a lot in the last few years. I want you to know that I am rebounding, finding my stride again, and resting in God’s grace as I move forward. The Lord has placed a very special opportunity before me. On October 11, I will be traveling to Uganda to serve Friends of Raven’s Ark Primary School, a Christ-centered ministry that brings hope through education to children and families in Kidheboro, Bugiri District close to the Uganda Kenya boarder.

About Raven’s Ark

Raven’s Ark Primary School was founded on the conviction that every child is created in the image of God and deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. (For clarity: Raven’s Ark is not affiliated with WE International, which some have asked about, since much of my past work in Uganda has been through WE International.)

The founder, George Zziwa, who grew up in this region, was determined to help the children in his community. He made a promise to build a school where children from poor families could not only receive an education, but also come to understand God’s great love for them.

Today, Raven’s Ark provides daily meals, medical support, school materials, and—most importantly—a safe place where children can grow and flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

My Mission

While in Uganda, I will serve the staff of Raven’s Ark through leadership development training for teachers and staff— encouragement, practical support, and discipleship. My desire is not only to meet practical needs but also to come alongside the staff and students, learning from them how to best serve the school and community moving forward.

Unlike my WE International trips, where most of my expenses were covered, this trip requires me to raise my own support. I need to raise $3,000 for ground costs. My airfare is already covered, but additional funds will allow me to meet expenses on the ground and prayerfully bless people in Uganda as you can imagine I will hear about many needs. This trip is deeply redemptive for me, and the opportunity to return to Uganda—where I have invested in lives for over 23 years—is a tremendous blessing.

How You Can Help

I would be honored if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me in two ways:

• Prayer – Please lift me up in prayer for safety, health, and effectiveness in ministry. Pray for rich times of fellowship with my Ugandan friends, who have truly become family over the past 20+ years. And please pray for the children of Kidheboro, the school staff, and for wisdom as we discern how to best serve them.

• Financial Support – I am raising funds to cover on-the-ground travel expenses and to provide direct support for the school’s needs—food, teacher salaries, medical supplies, and educational resources. Your gift, no matter the size, will be a blessing. The reality is, it takes resources to make this trip happen and to strengthen the school, its teachers, children, and community.

In a world where it’s so easy to pass by those in need, here is a beautiful opportunity to respond.
