On Friday, April 18th, my brother-in-law Mike Gustafson was admitted to Scripps Hospital for a scheduled cancer surgery. During the procedure, he suffered a stroke and went into heart failure. Mike is currently in the ICU at Scripps, facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.

At this time, it’s unclear when—or if—Mike will be able to return to work. His devoted wife, Danielle, is by his side, fully focused on his healing and doing everything she can to help him return to his fun-loving self. Unfortunately, the financial burden of these unexpected medical challenges is growing, and they are unsure how they will manage it all.
