Join Danielle and Kayla in Their Baby's Fight

Hi!

My name is Danielle and my wife’s name is Kayla, we are currently pregnant with a wonderful little girl who unfortunately is going to have to have a rough start to life.

She was diagnosed with a right sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia(RCDH) at 24 weeks.

a CDH is when your diaphragm doesn’t develop all the way resulting in a hole. For her this means that her liver is pushing up into her chest cavity and crushing her right lung and pushing on her heart.

So far we have gone ahead and done an MRI and an Echo to check to see how she’s fairing and they seem cautiously optimistic and we know for sure she will be having surgery as soon as she’s born.

On top of the risk of surgery, there’s also the possibility her our baby having to go on ecmo, which can have a whole of list of complications that could go wrong.

This will help us be able to help pay for her surgery and any other expenses with her being in the hospital.

If there’s any money left over from the surgery, it will go towards me being able to fully Adopt our daughter and have equal rights over her as the nonbiological parent. Thank you for everyone who has been there for support ❤️
