My name is Alaina Carlson. I am reaching out to ask for your love, prayers, and support for my family - Chad & Nicole Dearth as they face an unimaginable battle.

Their sweet baby boy, Crew Dearth, is just days away from celebrating his first birthday on March 29, 2025—a milestone every family cherishes. While preparing for a joyful celebration, Crew’s parents were faced with their worst nightmare.

On March 17, 2025, after countless CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, labs, and a liver biopsy their world shattered when they received the devastating news—Crew was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma, an aggressive liver cancer that has spread to his right lung. Now, the Dearth family is living at The Cleveland Clinic, where Crew is receiving care from an incredible team of doctors and nurses.

His fight began immediately starting chemotherapy on March 20th, with a treatment plan that includes at least three months of chemo, followed by a likely liver transplant and additional chemotherapy/treatments lasting upwards of a year. The road ahead is long and uncertain, but Crew is a fighter, and his family is doing everything in their power to help him overcome this battle and give him the future he deserves.

With this unexpected diagnosis comes overwhelming financial strain. The costs of medical care, extended hospital stays, time away from work, and travel expenses are quickly adding up. I am asking for your help to ease this burden so Crew’s parents can focus solely on what matters most, getting their baby healthy.
