Cookie Strickland – when you hear this name, your heart smiles! To know her is to know kindness, joy, friendship, grace, beauty, a steady champion to those in her life. She is a wife, mom. Nana, sister, realtor, and a cheerleader to so many. She is Cookie. To know her is to love her!

On April 1st, Cookie unexpectedly went to the ER with concerning symptoms. The news we received was life-altering: Cookie was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Glioblastoma. By Friday of that week, she had undergone brain surgery, and within 30 days, she began her journey with chemotherapy and radiation.

Despite the challenges, Cookie has amazed her doctors with her incredible strength and resilience. She has a long road ahead, but her determination to overcome this is nothing short of inspiring. She has done well with chemotherapy and radiation. But for the best possible long-term outcome, she needs so much more. She will be traveling out of the country for extended holistic/natural treatments, something that has proven to be extremely beneficial for others with her same diagnosis. People who have undergone the treatments she will receive are doing very well and living amazing and productive lives, something that typically does not happen with just conventional medical treatment. Insurance does not pay for these treatments, so the out-of-pocket expenses are enormous.
