On Monday, November 25th, while he was driving home from work, my son-in-law Cody Gore, a Chicago Pipefitter from Local 597 and a Navy Veteran, had a stroke causing a brain aneurysm. He was airlifted to the University of Chicago and has spent the last 10 days in the ICU, with no expected discharge date.

Cody is miraculously expected to make a full recovery, but the ICU stay and recovery are both lengthy, and his return to work likely won't be anytime soon.

Spending Thanksgiving in the ICU and Christmas in recovery, this has hit their little family hard during the holiday season. Please consider helping them recoup some of their losses to help with things such as travel and food expenses for the hospital stay, child care, and to help cover the income he is unfortunately missing during this already difficult time of year.
