Join Christian Henke's Battle
Lacrosse community we are reaching out for one of our own that needs all our assistance and prayers. Christian Henke is a former lacrosse player who has played youth lacrosse in Bayport Blue Point since the second grade and is a recent graduate of Bayport Bluepoint High School in 2018 where he was a starting defender for the playoff bound Phantoms. He also played his summer ball for Team 91 to improve his game.
Those that know number 41 Christian Henke (Nick Polanco was his idol) will tell you he is one of the kindest people on this planet and just a great kid living life to the fullest attending Plattsburg University, full of a promising life ahead of him. The past weeks have changed his life, Christian was complaining of headaches which were quickly diagnosed with a brain tumor. Surgery followed not once but twice to remove as much of the tumor as possible. He is diagnosed with a Glioblastoma which is rare difficult to treat brain tumor. He has started both radiation and chemotherapy. As you can imagine the financial obligation of these treatments and the responsibilities are quickly adding up and weighing on the family. We ask you to consider helping this amazing family in need, Mom Lisa, Dad Keith and younger brother Cole need our help. All funds raised will go to help support his treatment costs. Please see the go fund me and consider helping Christian fight for his life!
