I am Heather Southerland the wife of Chris Southerland. We have 2 children under the age of 10. May 5th 2025 our whole world changed in a blink of an eye. Chris was having head pain after hours and maxing him on all pain control I took him to our local hospital. They found a brain tumor and hydrocephalus. We were transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, MO where we lived for the whole month! Chris went through 2 brain surgeries and a vascular surgery. During the 2nd brain surgery they did a biopsy of the tumor. It came back as Germinoma. We still have the road of treatments to get through in Peoria, IL. As well as follow ups in St Louis, MO.

We are simply just trying to stay afloat with the added expenses of travel and treatment. We are on a fixed income as Chris is on social security and I cannot work due to taking care of him and our special needs children that we home school. Any donation big or small would mean the world to us! Any money raised will go directly to travel and treatment expenses!
