Join Chris Tappan's Fight Against Bladder Cancer
Donation protected
Chris Tappan has been a giver and helper for a long time. His first big step was when he started out as a paramedic in New York. His aspirations quickly grew wings, and he decided to come down to Maryland to join the Maryland State Police and fly in the medevac helicopters. So, Chris is a paramedic, a State Trooper, and has been helping to save lives as a Sergeant/Flight Paramedic for the Maryland State Police for almost 2 decades. More important than all of his service to the community, Chris is a husband and father to three kids. He decided to grow roots here in Maryland and has been the primary income while raising his family in the Baltimore area.
Not every story can be perfect though. After he completed the physical fitness challenge at work this year, Chris started to feel ill. During the workup, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer. They have removed some of the tumor, but have also confirmed that it has metastasized to his lungs and pelvis. He has undergone some treatments, which unfortunately proved ineffective to stop the cancer. Fighting with all possible treatment types, he continues alternative treatments not covered by insurance to supplement chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Chris has dedicated his life to serving his community and the State of Maryland and has helped to save many lives. Please consider donating to Chris and his family. The money will be used to help offset the costs of the treatments and also to help support the family during this time. Any donations, no matter how much, are appreciated.
