Join Chloe's Journey to Remission Again

Hi everyone! Welcome to Chloe's gofundme page.

Chloe was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) when she was only 15 months old. Her first battle with cancer included over 800 days of active treatment, over a dozen lumbar punctures, countless sticks for blood draws, multiple blood and platelet transfusions, 3 hospital admissions, weeks and weeks of steroids, countless oral medications, losing her hair, and having to tolerate tubes down her nose.

She and her family have been through more in the past nearly five years than the rest of us can imagine. And now, they are facing a relapse of her cancer. Her annual follow-up blood work came back abnormal and her parents received the worst news imaginable--the cancer has returned. Chloe was just starting summer camp, piano lessons, and a normal five (almost six!) year-old summer filled with play dates, days at the pool, and birthday parties. Now she's looking ahead at a birthday spent back in the hospital while she is sick from the medicine that will help save her life again. She is having surgery to place a port, something that she is scared and sad about having to do once more.

They were living in South Carolina, but made the decision to pack up some supplies and their pets and drive back to Virginia to be closer to family and be treated by the same care team that helped her the first time around. They don't have much more information at the moment, but they know that the first round of treatment will be at least a month in-patient.

They currently have a room at the Ronald McDonald house, but are looking for short-term housing in the area while they work on packing and selling their home in South Carolina to move back to Virginia. They have also recently had a few unexpected medical bills because Chloe's oncology appointments were not covered by her insurance in South Carolina.

Alyssa and Matt (Chloe's parents) don't want to ask for help, but their community can see the unfairness of the universe. We would like to help ease some of the financial burden for them so they can focus on what is most important--helping Chloe get to remission a second time.

If you are not able to help financially, please share this campaign with your network! From the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you for helping support this sweet girl and her family in whatever way you are able.
