Hello world! My name is Kirstie (AKA Kitty). I'm setting this up on behalf of my very good friend, Cary Woods.

Cary is a quiet, introspective man with many interests and hobbies -- most of them falling within the realm of nerdy. He was also a familiar face within the SoCal craft beer community.

I met Cary as an employee at Honey Pot Meadery, where he was already a regular, and he soon became a great friend. Everyone who knows or has met Cary can attest to his kind and generous nature. He always showed up and was always willing to help a friend in need, even sacrificing his own time (and sometimes social anxiety) to help out his loved ones. He was also a BEAST at Star Wars Trivia.

Sadly, Cary was admitted into the ER in the early morning hours on 3/16/25, and he’s still currently in very critical condition. Friends and family are remaining hopeful, but it could potentially be life threatening.

Since this incident, we’ve witnessed just how many lives Cary had touched. And we realized there are probably so many others out there who haven’t heard about this and would want a way to pray & help. We’ve seen the community come together and do some amazing things, and that is why we're setting this up. Cary's road to recovery will be long, and every bit of encouragement will be crucial.

Even if you do not have the financial means to donate, words of encouragement and support are equally welcome. Any get well cards or letters can be dropped off at Honey Pot Meadery, or mailed to them at 5120 E. La Palma Ave #104, Anaheim, 92807. We will be bringing these well-wishes to the hospital for family and friends to read to him. We hope it helps him fight. We hope that when he wakes up, he can read them himself.
