Help Brynn with her fight against Lymphoma
Donation protected
Meet Brynn, our six and a half year old spunky black lab. Brynn has always been such an outgoing, sweet, and energetic little lady. Sadly, we recently received some tragic news regarding Brynn.
What we thought was just an infection turned out to be cancer. It originally presented as swollen submandibular lymph nodes. After a few weeks of her lymph nodes still being swollen, Kyle decided to take her to an urgent vet. During that exam they found other swollen lymph nodes in addition to her submandibular. The vet aspirated one of her lymph nodes and sent the cultures to a cytology lab, which confirmed she had lymphoma. We were then advised to find an oncologist in the area.
We found a great place called Treeline Veterinary Cancer Care and got her in right away. During Brynn's initial visit at Treeline, the Oncologist found that almost all of her lymph nodes were affected. After the exam, the vet discussed our options with us. The vet recommended a 6 month Chemotherapy treatment called CHOP. With this treatment, it is expected that Brynn's life will be prolonged anywhere from 1-2 years and she will be able to be her crazy little self a little while longer!
With the emotional shock of hearing our dogs life will be cut short, also came the financial shock. The chemotherapy plan recommended for Brynn is an expensive treatment plan and we did not anticipate having to pay for such a thing.
We are going to shoulder the majority of the treatment expenses but it would be greatly appreciated by Kyle and myself if we were able to raise a small portion of the overall cost to cover some of the upfront expenses, and to help us budget for the remainder of her treatment plan. We appreciate any help and kind thoughts at this time. Thank you to everyone in advance.
