Hi! My name is Laura Wedemeyer and I am raising funds for our family friend, Brittany Shober. Brittany was my daughters' babysitter when they were born. Her parents were our pastors while living in Scotts Valley, CA. 5 years ago Brittany was diagnosed with Stage 2 Papillary Thyroid Cancer. She had to undergo a full thyroidectomy. She also had lymph nodes dissected as well - as the cancer had metastasized. She was put on medication and that has resulted in her being in a constant state of hypothyroidism. She is daily experiencing extreme fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, dry skin, an irregular heart rate, brain fog, and inflammation throughout her body, especially in her legs. Brittany is desperately trying to regain her health and has decided to see a specialist. She has been hindered in her ability to work full-time and that is the primary reason for the Go-Fund-Me Account. She will need help paying out-of-pocket medical expenses and just regular day-to-day bills.
