On Friday, June 27th, our 23-year-old daughter, Brianna, was involved in a traumatic accident. She was life-flighted to University Hospitals in Cleveland to be admitted to the ICU trauma unit.

Brianna suffered multiple skull fractures, a traumatic brain injury, and had to undergo an emergency craniotomy to relieve dangerous bleeding and pressure on her brain. In addition, she sustained multiple facial fractures and a shattered pelvis. She has remained on a ventilator since the accident, as her body fights to recover.

Now she is undergoing a second major surgery to repair her pelvis. This is just the beginning of a long and uncertain journey towards healing. To make things more difficult, Brianna does not have medical insurance.

Our family is devastated but also filled with hope. She is strong, kind, funny, and has a vibrant soul. We are holding onto faith that she will recover soon, but the emotional and financial toll is beyond anything we could have prepared for.
