Join Brent's Fight Against Rectal- Adenocarcinoma
Donation protected
Hi there! I have started this page for my husband, Brent. Brent has been diagnosed with stage III Rectal-Adenocarcinoma. The doctor said she had got it all and he did great for a year. One year later, he went back for his check-up and they saw something on the CT scan, and decided to do a PET scan. The cancer had metastasized to 2 lymph nodes. Because of the location, we had to wait 3 months and do another scan. 61 days in, he had been feeling terrible and they moved the scan to yesterday, 5/22/24. Our anniversary. The cancer had spread to another lymph node and had grown and had spread back to his rectal area. Chemo is aggressive and often for no less than 6 months. Then he will have another scan to see how they have shrunk or if they are gone. In June, Brent was admitted to Mercy hospital with severe abdominal pain which turned out to be a side effect no one expected.
Brent is one of the most loving, strong people anyone has ever known. He, as well as his family and friends, are determined that this cancer WILL NOT WIN! We are ready for this fight. Medical bills are already piling up, even with a broken back from an accident a year ago and this illness, Brent is still working as much as he can, which isn’t a lot lately. The side effects of Chemo are catching up. This is a financial battle for us and we are asking for all to help with the medical expenses. We want Brent and our family to be able to focus on his treatment and recovery and not the added financial strain.
I encourage everyone to match my $100 donation as it is much appreciated and will be the biggest help there is other than emotional support. Thank you all in advance for your generosity. ❤️️
