I am reaching out to help raise funds for my dad, Lou Zoller, to cover his medical bills. Never in a million years did I think I’d be doing something like this, but my parents are really struggling and I am trying to help in any way I can. They would never ask for help themselves—and they might even be a little upset if they knew I was doing this—but at this point any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to them.
This journey began several years ago when my dad started experiencing dental issues. While he initially addressed them, persistent pain soon followed. Despite frequent trips back to the dentist, no one could identify the source of his discomfort. A second and third opinion led to the same dead end.
From there, he was referred to a TMJ specialist, thinking that might be the cause. After spending thousands of dollars, he only experienced minimal relief. Another dentist eventually referred him to a neurologist where he was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia, a condition often described as one of the most agonizing types of pain a person can endure.
By this point, my dad could barely eat or speak. He was losing weight rapidly and falling into depression. Amid all this, he was also dealing with complications from a botched prostate cancer surgery he had undergone a decade ago—complications I’d prefer not to detail here, but they added another layer of physical and emotional stress.
He tried various treatments, including Botox injections, which provided some relief but not enough. His neurologist suggested a major procedure to open his skull and alleviate pressure on the Trigeminal nerve. While this might have offered temporary relief, it was not a permanent solution.
Finally, we found Dr. Linty John-Varghese at the Ohio Holistic Dental Center. She pinpointed the root cause of his pain and gave us hope. Her solution led us to Katy, Texas, where Dr. Katie To and Dr. Dawn performed a procedure called a cavitation.
Thanks to these incredible doctors, my dad is now on the road to recovery. While he’s not fully there yet, he’s made significant progress, and we are confident that this is the solution we’ve been searching for. We truly thank God for leading my Dad to these doctors.
However, as you can imagine, the financial burden is overwhelming. The trip and medical bills totaled nearly $14,000, and that’s just a fraction of the expenses he’s accumulated over the course of this ordeal.
I am humbly asking for any support you can provide to help offset these costs and ease the burden on my parents. Every little bit helps, and your generosity would mean so much to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping my dad.
