Join Brenda's Fight Against Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

If you have been to a Dave Matthews Band show in the last 27 years, you may have had the pleasure of meeting this amazing soul. Brenda Olivas, from Fort Collins, Colorado, has lived life as an adventurer. Whether it is taking her niece to a soccer game or being the favorite crazy teacher with her preschoolers, Brenda has always found joy in every day. When Brenda is not teaching or spending time with her family, she is volunteering for environmental causes or coaching youth soccer.

This spring, after concern about an ankle injury that was not healing, Brenda underwent extensive testing and was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Brenda had outpatient surgery a few weeks ago, which delayed her cancer treatment. Recently, Brenda has started chemotherapy that will last at least several months.

With risk of increased infection exposure, Brenda is unable to work indefinitely. With no end in sight to the medical cost, compounded by the need for money for day to day expenses, we would like to take the financial stress out of the equation.
