Hi everyone, it’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that our dear friend Brendan Curley’s partner & other half William Ruiz passed away earlier today (Monday, November 8th). 

I’ve known “Curley” for about 15 years and I cherish him and his friendship in my life. The past 5+ years with William were very special and truly Brendan’s happiest. 

Brendan and William loved going to hometown sporting events, walks on the boardwalk in Brooklyn and spending time with friends and family. I enjoyed watching their lives evolve together. 

William’s abrupt passing has left Brendan in shock, and he appreciates the outpouring of sympathy from friends, teammate and family. Obviously, with this so unexpected, Brendan and William weren’t financially ready for a hardship like this, so we thought we’d start a GoFundMe to help offset the burden during this hard time. 

Please try to find it in your heart to help out in any way you can to help cover any costs to lay William to rest. Your donation will make this difficult time for Brendan that much easier. 

William was called upon way too early, but he’s on his next journey and chapter in his after-life. I hope our paths cross again.
