My first hero has always been my mother, Brenda Lee (Bailey) Qualls, as a little boy her resilience and tenacity to push forward for us was obvious. She put in her 40 every week busting her ass next to grown men then came home to wash every fear we had away as kids. She's alway done her best to not only take care of us but every friend that ever showed up at our doorstep. She loves every soul she touches without any judgement. She let in so many of our friends growing up sheltering them from life's storm whether it was just a few days or a few months.

Everytime we were cold she mad sure we warm, and would listen to every struggle with an open mind and open heart. As her son I want to be my Mom's hero so bad but Cancer's a villain that takes an army full of heroes full of love to battle, so please help our Mommy, know that she has an army here for her too. She didn't ask for this nobody does, and she hates asking for help but sometimes the heroes of our lives need heroes too... words written by Dale Qualls with love.

Our Mom has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer (adenocarcinoma of pancreas), she's already went through one round of chemo, which didn't shrink the tumor. So she is being sent to Moffit in Tampa to see specialists, and has started another type of chemo that will coincide with radiation treatments starting in December. Bills are already mounting and we have along way to go...
