Hello Everyone, it's Brandi.

Some know and some do not, recently, I received the life-changing news that I have Breast Cancer. As you all know, I am a single mom and am doing everything I can to stay strong for my son. The last month 1/2 have been a true whirlwind. The news in general along with a million different doctor appts have taken a big toll on us.

I want to be very honest:

I have alot of pride, and asking for help - especially financial help - is extremely hard for me. But this battle has reached a point where I cannot do it alone, and I am choosing to put my health and my child first.

My first surgery is this Wednesday, December 3rd. I will have lymph nodes removed to verify spreading or not. After those results, Dr Norton and I will discuss the next surgery. Regardless, I will have to have radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Depending on results will depend on chemo, etc...

I am working with a social worker as well with Christus and she has been amazing, however grants only help certain medical bills and does not cover day to day items for Easton and myself. This amount is actually what is already due (per the statements I have received) and is small considering what is coming (per the estimate Christus has sent me) I have applied with everything I can apply for thru Christus, The Pink Fund and Komen Breast Resources.

This is will be the hardest fight of my life, but I am determined to make it through. Attitude is everything and I am doing everything to stay positive and trying not to stress over "small" things.

With that said, any amount, big or small, means more than I can express. If you can't donate, sharing my campaign is also a tremendous help as well as all the prayers and good vibes you can send our way!!
