Winter needs your help!

On Friday, May 30, 2025, my brother was walking his dog after his morning gym routine. She was on a leash and collar when she was suddenly startled and bolted. Unfortunately, the leash got away from Brad and she jumped into oncoming traffic. Brad chased her but it was too late and she was struck by a vehicle near hwy 7/MN 100. Unfortunately, she rolled under the vehicle and was drug over 15 yards when the vehicle finally came to a stop. Miraculously, she managed to walk away but collapsed at the median where Brad picked her up, and rushed her to the nearest emergency animal hospital.

Winter is presently stable, but, in critical condition. She isn’t even five months old yet. She suffered massive trauma to the chest damaging both lungs especially her left. She has been at the hospital for over 24 hours and is expected to need several more days of inpatient care while she receives oxygen and other life saving interventions while she heals. Once rendered stable, she will be transferred for surgery where surgeons will repair her severely broken front leg, which is beyond what a cast or splint could fix so that she can have a normal

life again and walk.

With continued care over the next few days, Winter is expected to make a full recovery combined with surgery. Unfortunately, my brother lost his 8 year companion Thor, a Malinois X to an aggressive stomach cancer last month. During Thor’s intensive medical interventions and hospice care at home, Brad suffered thousands of dollars of debt.

His baby angel Winter, has already incurred over $3000 in her first day of hospital bills and is in need of several more days plus surgery. Please considering helping.
