Many of you know my story of the Grandfather, known as Bepop, raising his Granddaughter, Reagan, from a two month old baby until 7 years old. God blessed me with that amazing little girl who has brought so much joy and love into my life. She is my world and God's greatest gift. My hope was always to live long enough to see her graduate high school and to watch her grow up to be the amazing young woman I know she will become.
Unfortunately, life has thrown a roadblock into my plans and struck me with cancer in my throat and I am now in a battle for my life. Even though I have insurance, the medical co-pays have begun to mount and the worries and stress have become a day to day concern that I will make it through financially. It makes the emotional battle even more challenging.
Reagan found out about my cancer by accident and is now very worried. She is always asking me about it when we are together. I never wanted to place that burden on her shoulders. While we were at the movies recently, she out of nowhere, lifted up the armrest between us, reached over and grabbed my arm and pulled it into her lap. She took her hands and wrapped them around mine, gently squeezing as she held on for awhile. I knew what she was thinking about and the tears started to fill my eyes.
I ask God each day to help me, so that I may be granted more time with my beautiful Reagan. If you can pitch in a little to help make my journey easier, I would feel very Blessed. May God give you and your family good health throughout your life.
Thank you and God Bless You
Bob
