Join Bob's Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
My uncle, Bob Lloyd (a young 72 years old) was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in September of 2023. Shortly after this diagnosis he started chemotherapy at Saratoga Hospital, but after 6 months of treatment it was found to be unsuccessful.
Bob's oncologist referred him to a weekly experimental treatment program at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC (which is a 4 hour drive each way from his home in Ballston Spa, NY). These weekly trips have become very costly and physically exhausting for Bob and and his wife Barb.
Since beginning these treatments, Bob's health has declined significantly and he has lost over 100 pounds. Due to these unfortunate circumstances, Bob has been unable to work and Barb (a school teacher) must now stay at home to care for him.
Bob is known as the rock of our family and a genuine friend to anyone that comes into his life. He is caring, generous and would go out of his way to help anyone in need at any time. His sense of humor is infectious and he lights up the room no matter where he goes. Our family and his many friends always look forward to spending time with Bob, whether it be a phone conversation, lunch or family gatherings. He has always been a part of the community and church, and his faith and love for people and God has been a huge part of him moving forward on this journey. Bob has also held numerous fundraisers for people in his community.
Our hope is that GoFundMe can allow Bob to continue this treatment program and alleviate some of the financial stress that this terrible illness has caused him and his family.
Any donations would be extremely helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you -
