Join Blake and Erin in their Adoption Journey

We are Blake and Erin Casey, and we are excited to share with you that we are adopting!

We are looking forward to welcoming a baby into our home, and are currently doing everything we can to prepare for this next season as parents. From our very first date we have known that we both wanted adoption to be a part of our family’s story, but we didn’t know how or when that would happen. The last few years of struggling with infertility have made it very clear that the Lord is calling us to adopt now. Through lots of prayer, conversations, and encouragement we have made the decision to commit to Alternatives in Motion (AIM) as our adoption agency. AIM is an incredible non profit Christian organization based in Houston, which goes above and beyond to serve orphans and women in need.

While this is very exciting news, there is also a significant cost with the adoption process. Funds are needed to provide pregnancy care, counseling, clothing, shelter, transportation and more for expectant mothers. Funds are also needed to cover legal fees, salaries, and facility expenses that keep AIM running. Our projected cost for a domestic infant adoption is $35,000.

Because of this high cost, we have set out to fundraise and invite others to join us in this important work. We do not ask for your help in this lightly. In fact, we have often been tempted to try and go at this alone. That being said, we believe that “pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” (James 1:27). Your financial contribution not only supports our family and an incredible adoption agency, it goes directly to orphans and women in need. We feel it is important to extend the opportunity for our family to partner with us in this mission field. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community surrounding our child as he/she grows up. Even more so, we hope that you realize your giving is an act of faith in carrying out God’s will upon the earth.

Whether you choose to pray for us or partner with us financially as we embark on this journey, we are beyond grateful. In a process that feels overwhelming and full of challenges, we find peace in knowing that we are not alone. God has surrounded us with an amazing group of family and friends! Should we meet our fundraising goal, we could have a child placed in our home as early as this October. If any funds are received that surpass our fundraising goal, they will be donated to AIM to further their work in caring for widows and orphans.
