Nick—known to many of his friends and colleagues as “Bender”—is a dedicated servicemember, currently serving as a reservist instructor pilot at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After an incredible career as a USMC AV-8B Harrier pilot, Bender transitioned to the USAF Reserves, where he now teaches Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals, shaping the next generation of fighter aviators. Bender is not only a hero in the skies but also a devoted husband and an incredible father to his two young children. Now, he needs our support more than ever.

Having just received this life-altering diagnosis, Bender and his family are navigating an incredibly challenging and uncertain road ahead. With frequent travel required between San Antonio and Houston for treatment, the financial burden of medical expenses, transportation, and unforeseen costs will undoubtedly grow.
