Join Bahaa's Family in Gaza Aid Mission

Dear friends, family, and truly the community at large,

I am hoping to reach souls with like minds and hearts; with the intent of being a candle in our world. My name is Ashley and I actually come from hometown USA, in our land of the free and brave. It is with immense sadness and regret that I draft this request to the world on behalf of a fellow plymouthian. One of my closest friends, Bahaa Dalloul, though a citizen here, is from Gaza. His mother, brother, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends are all still presently in Deir Al-Balah; a city located in the middle of the Gaza Strip. His family home is miraculously standing and thanks to that, they are able to house and feed scores of survivors while also providing to the numbers of displaced that now reside in the soccer field behind the house. Bahaa’s brother converted the family water well to propane in order to provide to as many of the community as possible with what they are able to produce. His remaining siblings, himself and some other members of his friend group (thank you to all of those that have already given) have been helping as best they can sending funds to his family still in Gaza so that they can distribute said food and water and any other goods they are able to obtain. However, due to the invasion at the Rafah crossing, food and medical supplies have been limited even further. Bahaa has gotten so many heart-wrenching phone calls asking him for anything that he can do that he’s recently reached out.

So many of us watch our social accounts and what’s left of the news and wonder how we could possibly make a difference here. THIS is how we help. We give knowing that 100% of the aid given will be used to provide bread made from the flour that went up in price astronomically and propane to continue to produce clean water, tents for those that are outside, medical supplies and any other items that can still be procured and possibly save the life of someone that we are painfully aware is left to their own devices in an untenable situation. Our culture has relatively recently become kind of obsessed with heroes :). This is our chance to try to do something in real life, in real time, that we only watch on TV and in movies; to don our very own capes. Sharing is “caping” here too :) Let’s start changing the world together and stop adding to the static by being indifferent! On behalf of Bahaa, his family/friends and myself, we deeply appreciate your time and anything else you can give. From one neighbor to another, we thank you.
