Join Baby Linus's Journey Towards Healing
Donation protected
Please consider supporting Zach and Anna Hurt as they face a lot of upcoming change, expenses, and opportunities to trust in God’s plans and timing for healing their son, Linus. Linus was born with an omphalocele and had a successful surgery to place his intestines all back into his abdomen hours after his birth on March 8, 2024. However, doctors soon discovered that Linus also was born with paralyzed vocal cords and a partially blocked airway. Linus has had two surgeries to try and expand his airway and avoid the need for a tracheostomy. His airway is starting to look better and bigger, but the biopsies done on some mysterious skin nodules Linus started developing on his arm, chest and neck revealed that they are rhabdomyosarcomas, which is an aggressive cancer Linus is predisposed to because of his genetic syndrome. Linus recently started a year of intense chemotherapy treatments. He has lived most of his life so far at Seattle Children’s Hospital, but will be moving with Anna and Zach to Denver, Colorado once Linus is stable enough to transport. Zach will be starting medical school at the University of Colorado, having changed his plans to attend medical school in Montana close to Anna’s family after learning the extent of medical care Linus will need this next year and the limitations of pediatric medical care in Montana. The Hurts would appreciate continued prayers for Linus’s complete healing and the Lord’s comfort, strength, and provision as they move away from family and friends. Please consider making a donation for Anna and Zach to use towards their medical, moving, and other expenses related to living or spending most of their time at the hospital with Linus.
