Help Me Grow Strong: Gage's Journey

Hi everyone,

My name is Gage, and I came into this world a little earlier than expected at just 27 weeks. I was born at just 27 weeks gestation via an emergency c-section. Even though I’m tiny, I’m a fighter, and I’m doing my best to grow strong and healthy every day. I’m currently staying at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL, where the doctors and nurses are taking great care of me.

My mommy and daddy were so excited to meet me, but my early arrival has brought a lot of worries and unexpected challenges. Mommy is still healing from the c-section, and daddy is doing his best to support us both. They’re worried about me, and I can tell that all the stress might slow mommy’s healing.

My mommy and daddy, along with all the wonderful doctors and nurses, are working hard to help me grow strong and healthy. Every day is a new adventure filled with love, hope, and lots of courage. Even though I’m small, I have a big fight ahead of me.

Being in the NICU means I need special care and lots of support. My parents are by my side every step of the way, but the cost of my care and all the things I need to get stronger is a lot for them to handle alone. That’s why we’re reaching out to you for help.

My family needs help to make sure mommy can rest and heal properly, and so daddy can focus on taking care of us both.

• Life Flight Costs from my birth hospital to Nemours in Orlando

• Mommy’s recovery and postnatal care

• Daily expenses so daddy can stay by our side
