Axl McCarter is a bright and brave 9-year-old who has been fighting a rare and painful infection in his leg. Over the past several weeks, he has been in and out of Greenville Children’s Hospital as infectious disease specialists work tirelessly to find the right treatment.

His parents, Daniel and Keri, have been by his side every step of the way, unable to work as they care for Axl and balance time with his 4-year-old brother, Jax. This has placed a tremendous emotional and financial strain on their family.
