Meet Averi, she is a sweet, spunky kindergarten's student who has been suffering from chronic joint pain for nearly two years. She started this journey with a rheumatologist. Some of her earliest bloodwork indicated that she was anemic and was referred to a hematologist. At Averi's most recent hematology appointment, her bloodwork showed signs of atypical blood cells with leukemic blasts. Repeat bloodwork was done and she was admitted to Norton Children’s Hospital on May 10. On May 11 she had a bone marrow biopsy that confirmed she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has begun her treat at Norton’s in Louisville.

Her mother is a teacher who has exhausted her sick and personal days caring for Averi. This fundraiser is to help with medical expenses, lost wages and food while Averi is getting treatment in the hospital.
