Dear Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,

We come to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help for our beloved dog, Attila. Recently, Attila encountered a suspected rattlesnake bite, and despite our best efforts, she has suffered extensive traumatic wounds to over 1/5 of her body. The venom has caused severe damage, and Attila is currently fighting to heal. Our lives have been radically upended this summer with constant care needed. She will survive this; we have a great prognosis from the vet and other medical friends assisting with her care planning.

Attila is not just a pet; she is a loyal companion who has brought immense joy and love into our lives from the moment she was adopted in Gallup as a little malnourished puppy over 9 years ago. Witnessing her in pain has been heartbreaking beyond words. She is currently undergoing intensive veterinary care, including antivenom treatments, surgery, and round-the-clock monitoring with constant wound care due to the necrotizing effects of the venom.

The medical expenses for Attila's treatment are substantial and are quickly adding up. As we navigate this emotional and financial burden, we humbly ask for your support. Your donation to this campaign will directly contribute to covering Attila's medical bills, medications, and allow us the breathing room to provide her 24/7 care at home.

For those who know Attila, you understand her gentle spirit. For those of you that don’t, this dog had fought an uphill battle just to survive as a little 8-week-year-old homeless puppy.
