Join April's Battle Against Cancer's Threat

Hi my name is April. I am the wife of an amazing, kind, hard working and caring husband. We have a 23 year old son and a sweet little schnauzer, Tucker. I have worked in the medical field for 23 years.

I was diagnosed with my 1st cancer at 27, my 2nd cancer at 33. In March 2023 after extensive testing of a new mass, I discovered that I tested positive for a dangerous cancer causing gene. My risk for being diagnosed with breast cancer is a whopping 44%. After lots of time, prayer, discussion and research, my doctors and I have decided that a bilateral mastectomy is the way to move forward. My surgery will take place on February 13th, 2025 in Winston Salem, NC.

There will be travel expenses such as overnight stays, fuel, mastectomy supplies and so much more.
