Hello everyone, what a struggle it has been to create this. We are beyond thankful for everyone who has helped us on this new journey. The medical bills and weekly doctor visits have started rolling in, and we've gone through our savings and need some help.
As some may know, Andrew has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Staying in the hospital for one month and going to three different hospitals included four different trips to the emergency room, five X-rays, three CT scans, and one MRI. Our first diagnosis was three weeks in with stage two rectum cancer. After getting surgery done because of a bowel obstruction, the surgeon came out to me and stated that it was not stage two; we are looking at stage four, with cancer not just in the rectum but in the peritoneal space. This space lines organs, and the surgeon found multiple tumors lying from pelvis to lung. Chemotherapy was immediately started with four different medications and a slow-release pump going home that gets removed after three days.
