Join Andrea's Fight Against Cancer Expenses

Donation protected
Hi! I'm Andrea, a 42 year old female who has a history of bilateral breast cancer (left: metaplastic breast cancer, right: invasive ductal carcinoma). I was 36 years old when I was diagnosed, I went through chemotherapy (IV and pill form), multiple surgeries and I've been on the drug tamoxifen for about four years now.

Tamoxifen is not a pleasant drug to take. It has felt like that drug has been trying to kill me in one way or another since I started taking it. I have been handling everything the best I can. On March 1st, 2025, I started experiencing some rather concerning side effects.

I contacted my doctor after a few weeks and I was told to wait a few more weeks to see if there would be improvement. Nothing improved, so I made an appointment with my doctor, who ordered an ultrasound. It turns out that my endometrial lining is thick and I have calcifications on both ovaries. Another surgery has been scheduled to remove tissue to biopsy it so I know what is going on with me. It could be a number of things, however, my doctor did say that there is a chance that it could be endometrial cancer. Due to the types of breast cancer that I was diagnosed with, hormone therapy is not an option for me. A surgical procedure is really the only option.

I received a call from the hospital for pre-registration for surgery this Friday, June 6th, and they are billing me a considerable amount of money for just the facility charge (administrative fees). I already paid the co-pay for my doctor. I just don't have the money for the facility charge, the anesthesia or anything else in the near future.

Going through treatment, multiple surgeries, scans and doctors appointments since 2019 has drained my savings, checking and I've maxed out my credit.

I need help. I need this for my health and for my peace of mind. My family is not in a position to help me.

All funds will go towards medical expenses.

Thank you for any assistance that you can provide, I appreciate it!

Update:

Surgery has been cancelled for 6/6/25 since I cannot come up with the funds.
Rather than being in a surgery room at a hospital, I will be having it done in the doctor's office on 6/16/25. I just won't be under general anesthesia, I'll be numb-ish and awake.

Update 6/29/2025:
I'm in recovery mode from the procedure that my doctor did in office, while I was awake. I don't think any patient should have to be conscious while this particular procedure is done. I heard and saw the doctor's and nurse's faces while it was going on, I heard the equipment, and I saw a lot of stuff that came out of me that I really shouldn't have seen - it was nauseating. The doctor established that I had a large polyp in my uterus/endometrial lining as well as quite a few smaller polyps. The doctor's bills have already started rolling in for the pre-op procedures that were done for the surgery that I couldn't have due to lack of funds. I'm definitely still struggling trying to make ends meet. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
